I know this is a little off-topic, but what's with all the hate directed at CTD? From the comments on that article, there are alot of guys upset with CTD and claiming they'll never buy from them again. Anybody know the story behind that?

I didn't read the comments but I don't bother with them because there are better/cheaper places to buy most of what they sell.

Folks are irritated because CTD refused to sell any ammo to CA, banned or not, civilian or LEO. Seems people felt that was "abandonment" and "caving in to the "man""...

Here's a good quote that sums it up, from the linked page above..
So all of you guys bashing CTD own big businesses and have been sued by government agencies in California in the past? Oh wait, I know that you don’t and haven’t. Any company is in business for one thing….MAKING MONEY. If it isn’t profitable for a business to deal with a particular state because it has to fear being sued by every liberal AG for bull laws, then I don’t blame them for not selling there. Buck up, quit whining and take care of the real problem you have in your state, LIBERAL bull! This decision is a victory for ALL gun owners.

I swore off CTD when they wouldn't sell me a bayonet. Legal to own in TX, but an "illegal knife" to carry being over 5.5" It was a great deal on a rare bayonet.

I put in a big order with lots of ammo and other stuff, even changed the shipping address to my mother out of state, and they still wouldn't ship it because my credit card zip code was in Texas. Next day before I couold call them they were sold out of the bayonets so it didn't matter.

They changed their policy since then, I hear. I don't care. Stupid jerks get no more of my money.

Finally. Common sense prevailing in the PRC (People's Republic of California).

Now, let's cheer them on while they deconstruct some of the barriers around concealed carry. Baby steps, mind you...
