Drunk CHL on the news in a BAR showing her license

So I was watching the 10pm news on CBS Channel 11 tonight.
A long story came on about some Dallas uptown bars being robbed several times lately. About halfway into the story, the camera is on some people sitting at a bar in that area drinking. A woman who has quite obviously been drinking (slurred speech, bleary eyes) says she is "not worried" because she has a license to carry. She then pulls the license out of her wallet and allows the camera to make a close up shot of it. I actually stopped my DVR and wrote down her name, address, and license number. (Sherry L. H., Dallas) If I could, so could anyone else. She then makes some effort to speak clearly and says she has been to one of the bars that was robbed. She goes on to say criminals had better be careful because more citizens are carrying. She seemed totally oblivious to the fact she is sitting in a bar half drunk telling a cameraman she is a CHL and criminals best not try to rob her. I don't know if she was actually armed at that moment in a 51% location, but the context of the story absolutely made it sound like she was and the smug look on her face didn't help. She was NOT a good example for us. Not at all.
I tried to find the video on the news website so I could post it, but could not.

So many other comments to make, but rough night (post surgical) has turned my brain to mush.

The stupidity of some never ceases to amaze me.

I couldn't find the video either. Maybe their legal department warned them not to post it.

Apparently a 10 hour class, fingerprints and a background check does not sufficiently qualify every CHL applicant?

As Ron White says "You can't fix stupid."

This won't be fodder for the anti-gunners. Never.

one fellow student in my CHL class worried me. he was able to hit the paper target enough times and had a passing score on the test so i'm guessing he'll get his CHL, but that experience led me to believe that the 10-hour course may not be enough for some people. i can only hope he'll seek additional training before carrying.

Some people just make me wonder how they passed the CHL course

How about thehalf a dozen or so of aggrevated robberries by multiple criminals in a gun free zone? I mean in the bars where armed citizens have to disarm?

She may have just enough brains to pass the class, but not enough to keep her mouth shut.

A brain well lubed with John Barleycorn's mind altering elixir will say and do anything. She may be a smart person while not under the influence but, . . . . . . .
I doubt it.

It's a little early for Mardi Gras.
