OSHA and 30.06

My job posted the main doors with 30.06 signs. I asked the facility super about this and he said OSHA required it. I told I didn't think OSHA could require that sign, his response was he was just told to get the sign and hang it up. I will corner the HR managers when I see her and ask her also. So what do you all think can OSHA do this or not?

If that were the case, then it would be displayed at every office and business in the state.

OSHA cannot legally regulate in this area. There was a federal court ruling about it a while back. I think it was in Oklahoma, but I don't have time to look it up now.

what does osha have anything to do with concealed carry?
They only care when someone gets hurt and they can make some money off of it.

Including police departments and police cars.

Looked it up:

OSHA letter:

These cases specifically dealt with employee parking-lot laws. OSHA has been involved in licensed concealed carry in the workplace, as far as I know.
P.S.: Having read Tamie's latest post, how could a firearms or ammunition factory, gun store, or shooting range operate if OSHA prohibited firearms in the workplace?
Bureaucrats love to blame other bureaucrats for the stupid things that they do. It would be nice to call them on it, but of course you could be risking your job.

The "facility super" gave you the first easy, "it's not my fault" answer that came to his/her mind. Quite obviously, the "facilty super" does not have a dog in this hunt and/or is not a boat rocker. Good luck with the HR lady.
I see a new gun or something I want and I wish I had a job. I see something like this and I'm glad I don't.

Well spoke with the HR lady and she was told to make it happen by the president, she also stated she did not question his reasons AND as it turns out she is also a CHL holder, so I was "preaching to the choir" as she put it.

You'll be okay. The president (sic), by his decree, has declared that he is providing you a secure work place.

Do you have to use the "main doors"? If every entrance is not posted then it is not a proper posting if I remember correctly. You may be fired and you may be arrested but you should not be convicted. Is the possible threat worth being unarmed if you ever need to defend your life?

This is not correct. It would be nice if it were, but every entrance does not have to be posted.
