I want to get opinions on whether this holster is really worth the time and money (mainly the time). 6 month wait times are a bit obscene. Apparently, they also sell out their monthly quota of orders within a few days, so it takes some doin to even place an order.
Just wondering if these holsters are really worth this level of effort to obtain.
The economist in me wonders why they don't just up their prices to the point where the Quantity Demanded = Quantity Supplied, but the populist in me likes that they don't want to gouge their customers.

The wait is true and unavoidable. My brother recently got his and swears by it. He tried quite a few holsters for his 4" 1911 and wasn't satisfied with comp-tac or any other major brand. I put it on once and brielfy tried it out around his house and it seemed to hold the gun close to the body. Another note I might mention is that there was absolutely no shift in position of my weapon while walking around/sitting/standing and my brother can attest to this as well. Wherever you put the VM2 it stays there. I hope this helps, as I don't have enough experience to give you a definate yes or no but I can tell you that my brother sure is satisfied.

I've got a facsimile of the VM2 made by
http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/i35.html to carry my M&P .45 around in and it works great. It looks as though their build times are long now as well. But it seems that they do have another manufacturer licensed to build their holsters with a turn-around of 7 to 14 days if they aren't in stock,
http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/i84.html or
http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/i72.html.

I ordered mine a few days ago. Should be here any time now. I've got a few buddies with the VMII, and they love them. I played with one for a few days, and absolutely love it. Get the kydex clips, then its tuckable... I also have their summer special for the glock 26... (My VM-II coming soon is for the 1911...)

I have 3 VMII's and 1 Summer special, I waited anywhere from 3 mos to 7 months on them. For me they are well worth the wait and $$. I just buy a cheapie holster to use during the wait time, if I have a new pistol.

I just got through and placed my order!
It only took 290 attempted calls before I finally got through their busy signal and got my order in during the estimated 3 day open order period this month.
I ordered 2 VM2's. One for my Glock 26, and one for my Colt Defender. By the time I get them, it will be late summer, so those will be the guns I am carrying.

I ordered a Mitch Rosen - I had a question and the receptionist had Mitch call me back within a half hour and he walked me through the process and personally took my order over the phone. He was very patient and a really nice guy. Took the time to steer me in the right direction so that I could get the perfect holster for my Ed Brown Kobra.
Wait time is 12 weeks.
