In a city, population only about 2,000 near where I live we have at least 2 to 4 shootings a weekend, depending how many Tourists get off the train.
However, we have a very low violent crime rate.
BUT EVERY WEEKEND, IT'S THE SAME GUY SHOOTING THE SAME GUN AT THE SAME PEOPLE ...
(Cowboy re-enactment shootouts for tourists)
Anyway, here's an article on something else you might enjoy.

I t’s high noon in an Old West boomtown. You’re standing at the bar in the local saloon when you hear your name called from the street. It’s Dirty Dave and his posse come to string you up for cheating at poker last night. The bartender eyes you warily. “Boy, you look a bit nervous.” Your reply is short: “Just shut up and pour.” You quickly rush to the window and, with a steady hand, squeeze the trigger and unload your trusty rifle, shotgun and two sixshooter revolvers, bringing an end to the threat from Dirty Dave.
