This isn't gun stuff, but sometimes I just like to share the wealth a little on other things.

Last October, on the drive from Lewisville down to CHL Forum day at Friendswood, TX,
we stopped into Brenham, Texas and took the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory tour.

Friends - consider a day trip for just adults, or take your children to see a Texas tradition
being made. It's somewhat rare to be able to take a tour of a manufacturing plant. You and
your children will have a great tour and ice cream at the end is included in your price!

The Blue Bell site in Brenham does not have any 30.06 posting and no gunbuster signs of
any kind, so you don't have to leave your heater in the car.

Brenham is located 73 miles northwest of Houston and 89 miles from Austin, so there are plenty
of you out there that could make a little day trip to see ice cream being made.

Blue Bell, IIRC, is sold in 19 states. Brenham is the home office/factory and they have 2 other
ice cream plants in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Sylacauga (say Sill-uh-cogga), Alabama.

Please justify a need for ice cream

No one needs ice cream

Its only purpose is to raise cholesterol, promote diabetes, increase obesity, raise blood pressure and make the heart work harder, all of which increase the nations health care costs.

I'm drafting a bill.

And I have Blue Bell "Happy Tracks" and "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" flavors in my freezer, ok, and a little breakfast "Coffee" flavored ice cream which dripped on my beard, but you'll never take them from my cold hands.

Thanks SIA.

If you ever find yourself up the Oregon coast, you ought to tour the Tillamook Creamery in Tillamook, OR. The Tillamook Creamery is an actual tour bus stop and it is crowded. While in Tillamook, you might as well tour the Naval Air Museum too.

DO NOT take your CCW with you because ourTexas CHL is not recognized in Oregon. Other than that, it's pretty good ice cream and it's pretty good cheese but it ain't Blue Bell. There is no equal to ourTexas Blue Bell ice cream that I've found. Braum's almost...maybe...

It's been a long time since I took the BB tour... I was probably 18-19. Great stuff, and I have several different flavors in my freezer right now :cheers2:

And if you can combine the tour with a drive around that area when the bluebonnets are out, you have the recipe for a fantastic day!

We did both last year around Apil Fool's day. Don't spread it around, it's crowded enough as it is.

We went to the Blue Bell factory before the Baby New Year was born. And we became hooked on Southern Blackberry Cobbler ice cream, and still have not overcome such addiction.
