texas chl fee for disabled

was trying to get ahold of txdps before i apply. fee is 140.00 or 70 for indigent, im disabled on ssdi. can anyone tell me or give me a website that shows me if im quailfied for indigent according to the state? i emailed them and left a message and yet to hear from them at texas chl website. im just trying to see if i qualify and what kinda paperwork that i will need to add to my application when i mail it in. a difference of 70 bucks if i can, thanks for any info. newbie , jj

The only one I know which lists all the types of reduced fees and shows each and required documentation and is limits is here for 2009 figures

Scroll down to page 9 on the link RPB gave. It tells you the income limits and required paperwork for the indigent discount.

DPS definition is, if you can afford a gun and the class your not indigent.

well, i started applying and get to where they ask employer etc, i filled in disabled but what addres am i suppose to fill in? or how should i fill out that whole section? i want to fill it all out right with no mistakes as so they dont send it back for any little reason.

Your employer is not "disabled". If you are unemployed, just enter "Unemployed", and the appropriate time period. There would be no address.

There are a lot of disabled/handicapped/handicapable people who have jobs.
If you are or were unemployed for any significant time during the period, follow sjfcontrol's instructions. If you were a student, enter "student" and the date range. DPS just wants to know where you were and what you were doing so they can check the records in the appropriate counties.
