Okay...now I am confused. I found this in the handbook

The District prohibits the use, possession, or display of any firearm,
illegal knife, club, or prohibited weapon, as defined at FNCG, on all
District property at all times."

Is having a CHL an exception to this statement? There is no posting to the entrance of the parking lot and the firearm remains in the vehicle during the day.

If you copied the FNCG word for word, then it clearly follows the state rules defining premise as building, so IMO if you leave it in the car and have your CHL, you are not in violation of the policy or law. Just remember I am not a lawyer and don't even try to pretend to be one, so take what advise you get on here as my personal opinion, not legal advice.

It says that you can not carry a weapon into a facility, defined as a building or area where school sponsored activities are or normally occur. It does not state that you are exempted if you have a CHL.

You cannot carry on school premises (i.e., building or portion of a building) or any grounds or building where a school-sponsored activity takes place (46.02 (1)). Federal law prohibits firearms 1000' from school property (GFSZ). A CHL exempts you from the federal law. You should be OK legally. However, you can still be fired if they find you have a firearm in your car.
