I got my new CHL with my new address in the mail about a month ago. Do I need to send my old one back?

The only time you're required by law to send back your old license is when you change the category--ie upgrade from NSA to SA. I just cut up my old one and threw it away when I renewed.Doug.38PR wrote:I got my new CHL with my new address in the mail about a month ago. Do I need to send my old one back?
Yeah. I believe they DO want you to destroy it though. I think technically you're not supposed to have two that are both "valid" at one time.hirundo82 wrote:The only time you're required by law to send back your old license is when you change the category--ie upgrade from NSA to SA. A license holder may not possess more than one license to carry a concealed handgun issued by the department. A license holder who requests a duplicate license based on a change of name or address shall destroy the old license promptly upon receipt of the duplicate license.
