My application has been stuck on background check since the 1st. Should I call them given the short turn around times reported lately? It seems like it should have come back already or I would have heard of an issue.

So it's only been 14 days since your status was updated to background check?

It took them almost 40 days to process mine, and that seems to be about the norm now. There have been a few extremely fast application go through in the new year of around 20 days, but your wait is purely in line for the normal processing time.

If you want give them a call in a few weeks if you feel you must.

If you call prior to 60 days, you may get the standard response of "it can take up to 60 days".
However, if you email, you may get a bit more information, and you will not be able to take out of context or attitude by tone of voice what they say.

Why not. Put the phone on speaker and do something while you wait. Maybe if we continue to pester these people they'll get their act together.

Thanks for the replies. I will wait. I know they are busy and I'm probably impatient seeing the ones that have gone through really quick and getting submitted around the same time mine did.

LOL! I just checked their site and I've gone from background check pending to manufacturing!!!!! It seems ever time I post a concern about the process I get one step closer. Patience is definitely a virtue in the CHL wait.

I've been in Background pending for a while...but figure I'll be patient.
