I had read about it, some woman used that as a reason to not allow CHLs to be armed on campus (might be an MPA incident I've seen no mention of anyone having a CHL)
Two guns were recovered at the scene.

(Austin Dale David, deceased) David brandished a gun but did not fire it,

David's girlfriend, Stephanie Molina, who was a passenger in the car, said she crawled over the console and got out on the driver's side, where she saw David lying in the street.

If I'm not mistaken, neither individual had a chl.

No mention of either having a chl in any report I've read either.
Perhaps they need DE-escalation in Driver's License training too like they have in the CHL course.

Sad story, a lesson for all, to activate deescalation first.

I do not understand, why the guy in the Mustang, Mr. David pulled his pistol at the truck driver? Why the driver did not leave the scene? why he drove back and bumped the Mustang? Was it in self-defense?.

Too many questions. Not worth it to get into road rage and end like this. Also, the victim was a dad at age of 15? and had another baby at age 19?

From the article at http://www.reporternews.com/news/2011/f ... ahoo_feeds" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Police said they found two guns at the scene and that neither David nor the other man had a license to carry a concealed handgun."However, it is legal in Texas to conceal a weapon in your vehicle, providing you are not a felon," Beard said.

Just from reading this, it doesn't sound like self defense. If the truck driver had shot him after he got out his car brandishing a gun, maybe but after attacking the guy with your truck, I don't think so.
