Instead of allowing licensed guns on campus, Pelosi said he would much rather see a university concentrate its efforts on heightening campus security to make students feel more secure.
It is my contention that on FRIDAY the 13th of April 2007, everyone FELT secure at Virginia Tech .... Monday the 16th was another story.

more efforts to: "make students feel safe"
How about this illogical statement:
There is no real way to tell if the decision could potentially prevent tragedies on campus like the Virginia Tech massacre in 2007, Pelosi said.
“You could say that a Virginia Tech type of shooting could have been avoided, but those types of incidents are extremely rare, and happened on college campuses that are extremely safe,” he said. “So, I wonder why we are introducing guns into that type of a campus.”

If you want to "feel" safe, wear a rabbit's foot. If you want to "be" safe, wear a 45.

Have any asked the following:

How is it possible that employees who work at a Company X where it is legal to carry there each working day of the week and those carrying concealed guns may get into heated argument with their Supervisor or even got fired. I did not hear of CHLer pulling and shooting his employer. Most if not all were "fired" and who came back and shot up the place did not have a concealed carry.

Why no one complained or even noticed? Getting fired or terminated is more devastating than getting a B+ instead of an A.

Hummmmm....Vassar College. Who is surprised? What is surprising is that they don't care to protect themselves.

My daughter attended Vassar. I never felt safe in that area of NY when we would visit her; could have been because I was unarmed. The campus is surrounded by aged neighborhoods with constant crime reports. With all the money spent there you'd think it would brightenup the area.

Also, in the fall of the year I swear I saw a guy without a head on horseback ;-)
