We need all politicians to undergo background checks and broadly increase penalties for all of them who are against the Constitution.

The Repubs started talking about requiring all new legislation to include specific Constitutional citation documenting authority of Congress over the subject matter of proposed legislation...

Whatever happened to that?

I try to ignore everything he says. But I still wish he would just keep his mouth shut.

How a senate can introduce a bill if the house do not support it?

It happens all the time. A senator can introduce a bill even if the senate doesn't support it. That's why they vote on it.

This explains the whole process. :mrgreen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEJL2Uuv-oQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

NEW YORK (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer said Wednesday he will propose legislation requiring all gun buyers to undergo a background check and broadly increasing penalties against states that don't contribute names to the national background-check system.
What names? There are no states that contribute names to the system unless they are convicted in a court of law. It is, by definition, a database of criminals in the US. Would the good Senator have his name added to that database when he purchases a firearm? What exactly does he mean?

Never mind. Schumer has never allowed the facts to cloud his rationale.

And being a convicted felon should prevent them running or "serving". That would pretty much gut congress.

All politicians should be limited to two terms, one in office, the other in prison. :lol::

In order to cloud it he would have to have it in the first place. I believe he is seriously lacking in this area.

Too many are like Ted Kennedy was. Deserve to be convicted felons, but never got tried in court.
