UT CHL Class News report with video

The University of Texas chapter of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus hosted a handgun licensing class on UT’s campus. Close to 60 students and UT employees signed up.

I'm all for Continuing Education.
Every person opposed to concealed carry on campus should have attended if they were really interested in getting even a little bit more factual information.

KSLA Feb. 27: Viewer Comments- 'Guns on Campus' editorial
Quite a bit of reaction to my editorial this week on allowing students and faculty to carry guns on Texas college campuses. I said it's a bad idea.
Kenneth writes..."You left out the main objectives of the bill. It is only meant for faculty and students over the age of 21 who have received training and get a state permit to carry a gun, which is a great idea to be able to stop maniacs from killing a lot of people in one sweep."
And Billy writes..."Had this been the law at Virginia Tech I suspect lives would have been saved. You should check statistics where citizens have the right to protect and defend themselves compared to places they don't. Your heart may be in the right place but you are wrong."

We actually had 66 people take the CHL course.
