Went to the range today and shot my first 100 rounds of 40 cal reloads. 180gr Hornady JHP with (50rnds) loaded at 5.0g of unique and (50rnds) loaded at 5.5 g of unique. Accuracy seemed identical with both rounds. Cycled fine in an M&P full size, M&P compact and a Sig P239. I could get back on target a little faster with the 5.0g loads. Ill have to put the rounds through the chrono to see what velocities are.

Shot 100 rounds and only recovered 82 pieces of brass :banghead: would much rather shoot 82 and recover 100 :coolgleamA:

Was anyone else at Garland Public Range today? IT WAS PACKED!

not today, I was in Houston. Next weekend, I plan to take my sig 556 to dial the new Nikon 2.5-10X50.
Usually when the weather is very nice, Garland PR is packed and people are in line waiting to sign in.

You have gone and done it now! Reloading means we can shoot more, shooting more means more components and gear et al.

I have been reloading since 1959 and yes it has saved me some funds down through the years--especially on shotgun--but it is just icing on my cake for shooting and hunting and competing. Congratulations--I bet you are hooked now!

Collecting brass is a pain at the Garland range...I find that it is much easier at 5 PM on Sunday afternoon. There are fewer people and less brass from other people flying around.

I used to go earlier, but I get bored waiting...

I'm going to put that next to my "kiss my brass" shirt idea...
