Shooting in San Antonio, Ingram Park Mall. Close to home.

I live in Leon Valley area here in San Antonio, Texas. Some of yall from here know exactly where that's at. Ingram Park Mall is about a mile up the road and usually a place where I go to deposit money at Security Service FCU. I don't carry inside there because it has a valid 30.06 sign outside its door, so I keep my pistol inside my car. I do however go back for it if I know I'm going to stay long and roam the mall. I just don't know what would happen if something like this happened to me when going to deposit money and not armed - or heck, if I was with my GF or loved one. Not saying I would or would not take action, but just the thought of being unarmed and something like this occurs makes one think. I really think I should just start going to the drive-up branch to deposit money from now on and try to avoid leaving my pistol out of my reach. That or just change my bank. I never thought stupid stuff like this could hit SO close to home.

Stay safe out there. :tiphat:

...good food for thought...anytime, anywhere...when is it not worth the effort to carry??? Never expect "normal" anymore...

Why would a CU founded to serve the needs of Air Force members post 30.06? Baffling....

If for some reason membership was unavoidably the best thing for me, I'd use the drive through for sure.

Thankfully the victim will survive to raise her two children.
