Any suggestions on a good tac light for my AR? Looking for something with a pressure switch.

On the s model, can you disable the strobe feature or does it strobe all the time? Also, do you know if it is compatable with the pressure switch?SecedeTX wrote:I have the TLR-1s and have been really happy with it. It's a good quality piece.
Not sure, but it is only activated when you "double click" the switch. It should be compatible as it is they same housing and battery cover. Where are you located? You can check out my setup. We can even pull the TLR-1s off my duty pistol and rig it up. I will say though, that I find a strobe useless on a long gun.jcarp02 wrote:On the s model, can you disable the strobe feature or does it strobe all the time? I think the strobe would not be as useful as a steady stream all the time, so I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a "strobe only" type model. So when you "single click" then it's just a regular light? Having the strobe option if I for some reason ever wanted/needed it would be nice, but not all of the time.gigag04 wrote:Not sure, but it is only activated when you "double click" the switch. I don't know how it works with the pressure switch. The non-remote switch is on a rocker that can either do constant on, momentary, or if you put it into momentary twice within a 10th of a second (I think that is what the manual said) it goes to strobe. Honestly, I did not even know it had a strobe mode until a few months after I made the purchase.jcarp02 wrote:On the s model, can you disable the strobe feature or does it strobe all the time? Sure just get with me a few days out and we'll set something up.jcarp02 wrote:I think the strobe would not be as useful as a steady stream all the time, so I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a "strobe only" type model. I'm located near Galveston, but I try to make it up to CS fairly frequently. I know I'm going to try to head that way to catch a baseball game and my friend's daughter has a birthday next week, so I'm sure I'll be headed up there soon.
