Any suggestions on a good tac light for my AR? Looking for something with a pressure switch.

I'm running a TLR-1 with the pressure switch kit. Highly recommend. Great brightness/weight/cost ratio.

I have the TLR-1s and have been really happy with it. It's a good quality piece.

On the s model, can you disable the strobe feature or does it strobe all the time? Also, do you know if it is compatable with the pressure switch?

Not sure, but it is only activated when you "double click" the switch. It should be compatible as it is they same housing and battery cover. Where are you located? You can check out my setup. We can even pull the TLR-1s off my duty pistol and rig it up. I will say though, that I find a strobe useless on a long gun.

I think the strobe would not be as useful as a steady stream all the time, so I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a "strobe only" type model. So when you "single click" then it's just a regular light? Having the strobe option if I for some reason ever wanted/needed it would be nice, but not all of the time.

I'm located near Galveston, but I try to make it up to CS fairly frequently. I know I'm going to try to head that way to catch a baseball game and my friend's daughter has a birthday next week, so I'm sure I'll be headed up there soon.

I don't know how it works with the pressure switch. The non-remote switch is on a rocker that can either do constant on, momentary, or if you put it into momentary twice within a 10th of a second (I think that is what the manual said) it goes to strobe. Honestly, I did not even know it had a strobe mode until a few months after I made the purchase.

If you are in Houston, and want to test it with a pressure switch, I would be interested to see how it worked.

Sure just get with me a few days out and we'll set something up.

I ended up ordering a TLR1s yesterday. I figured I could mount it to the forend of my shotgun and I would be able to use it without the pressure switch and just see how I liked it. Then I can go from there on what I want on my AR.

LongHaired- I may have to check yours out when we go shoot.

Any recommendations on the Streamlight TLR1S (light only) or 2S (with laser) for use with a shotgun?

Also, what about lasers on an AR-15? I already have an Eotech 512 with the TLR1S (light only).

I am going to purchase a second light for my shotgun and am wondering if I should get the TLR2s (with laser) for AR and swap the 1S to my shotgun or just get another TLR1S for the shotgun.

Since I can get two TLR1S for the price of one TLR2S I was wondering if the laser was worth the price. Any practicle advice ?

I don't run a laser on a my long guns, not against it, but it's just not how I'm setup. Streamlight, whether its a TLR 1 2 or 3, makes a good product. For me a RDS and a laser, with co-witnessed and fixed irons gets too busy.
