My daughter was in the cafeteria when this happened, here is her Facebook post about it:
was just in the cafeteria and a bunch of cops came in to arrest 2 guys...possibly something to do with one of the guys pulling out a gun(?!)...cops yelled at everyone to evacuate the student center...they were patting the guys down and checking their backpacks...CRAZY

Thanks for posting this.
"There was about five of them [officers] with big guns... two guns apiece."
They should only bring one per each officer because John Woods said "more guns on campus is bad" or something like that ..... I wasn't listening ....

Friend of the suspect, A&M-Commerce student Allen Duong said the suspect showed his weapon after he discovered his phone was missing and suspected it had been stolen.

"Apparently, [the suspect] had lost his phone," Duong said. "In his blind supidness [sic], he flashed a BB gun. Someone saw it and called police."

They updated the story - same link, a little more detail here
Lt. Jason Bone with the University Police Department says upon arrival officers found a male with an air soft pistol, a plastic gun that shoots rubber pellets. Authorities were alerted of the situation after a student noticed the suspect's weapon and feared it was an actual gun.

"At some point, someone playfully took the suspect's phone," Bone said. "The suspect at that point made some sort of general statement of 'well you better give it back or else' and kind of lifted up his shirttail displaying the butt of this air soft pistol."

No one had been arrested as of 5:15 p.m., but four individuals were taken in for questioning, including the suspect.
