Jury: Hines Not Guilty In Shooting

A Dunn man was found not guilty yesterday by a Harnett County Superior Court Jury in a controversial shooting.

Brad Hines, 33, was acquitted of a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury.

Now why??? Oh well...I just happen to have a preference... ;-)

The advise given by that judge is absolutely rediculous...I guess it would be good that it was only advise...

Otherwise, I might find myself in contempt of court for telling a judge something a little off-color...And then still not doing it...

While the admonishment to "turn in your permit" was only "advice", the order to destroy the gun was not.

No crime committed = property seized. Sounds like some of our drug laws with seizing cars and stuff... both bad ideas.

I read the whole thing. Found the county & Dunn as the city. What state????

Maybe the judge didn't hear the verdict was Not guilty. That's ok , sentence the defendant anyway. [/sarc off]
