Road Trip Westward...

Texas (the whooooole distance) New Mexico (smelly from the feed lots right north of El Paso, and Arizona (all the way to Tucson, so far)...

16 hours, one time change, and I am about to crash land...We'll be on our way to San Dog tomorrow morning...

But wait!!! That's not all...Tell them what they've won!!!

When we get to Yuma, we'll stop, gas up and disarm...Unload, lock up the guns, and put the ammo separate in our bags...The guns will be cased in the Secure-It safes, unloaded and in the back of the truck to render them inaccessable per California state law in regards to transporting firearms in a vehicle...We should have no problems except if we fail scrutiny at the many immigration checkpoints between us and SD...

We already encountered on just west of Las Cruces NM and it was uneventful, wasn't going to invite additional bull at these intrusive, guilty before proven innocent stops...

I am anticipating at least one or two more before we get to our destination...Hopefully they will go as uneventful as the previous one...

Will update later...If not, I may need some help with the bail... :thumbs2: :smilelol5:

Thanks for the update.

BTW - donations for your bail fund are directly proportional to the complexity of tale weaving involved on your end.

You're still not as far as that new 50 cal can accurately shoot.

At least I think that's what they say in the movies....

Y'all are expecting complex??? :smilelol5: "rlol"

When I've gotten into trouble, it has ALWAYS been because I did some really really stupid!!! :biggrinjester:

Like call a Marine, simply Naval Infantry... :smilelol5: "rlol" I can only get a way with that a limited amount of times...And with a select few Marines that I (and my crew) saved their bacon once... :thumbs2:

I'm really proud of my nephew...Its going to be great to see him be a part of such a great group of men and women who serve this country...I only wish I was 25 years younger, knowing what I know now, I'd do it all over again without hesitation...

And the gauntlet was thrown down for a friendly competition, if they so wish...I just don't think I can sneek my .50 across that imaginary line on the map...Silly California!!! :banghead:

No, we didn't see any special need for a holster for just Aridzona...

Obviously we arrived with no incident(s) :grumble , I was sooooo looking forward to one...But alas we made it unscathed...

Tell you what though...The one thing I missed about Kalifornia was the weather!!! I will trade 100x2 in Houston (100% humidity and 100 degrees) with 75 degrees max and 20% humidity in San Diego anytime!!!

Just heard my Nephew got honor graduate and is getting his promotion to Lance Corporal (E-3 paygrade) out of the blocks...Outstanding Marine!!!

We'll have some pictures soon in the off-topic forum next week or so...

As for the road trip, we saw the gauntlet we'll have to pass through on the way back...For the most part if you have a nuetrl expression, don't even say a friendly "hello" they just take a cursory look inside to see if anything catches their attention and they wave you through...We were not asked if we had any guns or other item like that in the vehicle we were in...If we were, I advise carefully answering that question but do not evade, even though it probably chaps most to no end...

I'm going to the beach now...hehehe, don't tell Wife Unit...

We were waiting for the dog to alert to the pistols we had unloaded and in the back of the truckbed, locked away...

Not a peep...

Nothing to see here...Move along, move along... :thumbs2:

Ohhhh, and about the bug splatter...Not my truck...I was doing my best to miss them...
