So I recently bought my wife a C2 Taser that she keeps in her purse with her license and the what not. What would you suggest she say to the officer before she goes digging in her purse for her wallet. I told her to let the cop know that she had a taser in her purse before she went in to get her wallet, what would you all suggest?

Couldn't hurt.

Not a LEO, but I'd suggest she keep at least her ID and credit/debit cards on her person instead of in her purse. Those are the things she really doesn't want taken if her purse were to get stolen, and it avoids having to have the Taser conversation if she is stopped.

If that's not possible, I agree with gigag that informing can't hurt; it's kind of like a non-CHL carrying under MPA informing out of courtesy/to avoid any unpleasant misunderstandings.

As a former LEO I can tell you that I always liked it when people had their stuff out BEFORE I got to their car. I mean you know that's the first thing they are going to ask for! I keep my insurance clipped to the drivers side visor and my DL and CHL on top in my wallet. When I get pulled over it's out with windows down and my left hand holding everything before they ever get to my window. Makes things easier on them. plus it will avoid the whole taser thing altogether.
