Age & arthritis has so stiffened my shoulders sometimes that the drag on a leather holster w/ 5" 1911 gets to be a real effort. I just dont buy new holsters & had looked at one of these for about a yr. before buying one last Dec. Just got it Monday. Reprort follows.

I chose the regular belt loops & the pancake wings. I just dont do IWB hardly at all. The regular belt loops hold it very close & still give room for a good grip. Height adjustment is by moving the belt loops on the holster. Since I have carried as long as I have & just dont worry about getting brushed, touched, bumped & therefore busted, I dont see ever using the pancake wings that are supposed to pull it even closer. This would make a draw stroke a little slower to get a good proper grip.
Rides very solid, does not creep or rock on a leather gunbelt or a 5.11 5-stitch. I carry at 3:30 & it is comfortable setting, driving, walking even riding my bike.
Draw breaks retention crisply from there no drag at all.
One of the best holsters I have ever worn & I have tried a LOT. My oppinion: The best kydex holster I have ever worn by a long shot.

I should get around to ordering one. I won a $100 gift certificate from them last year, but couldn't decide which gun, etc.

The only thing I don't like about my Raven holster is that is kinda jabs me with it's empty, and the hammer of my gun (P226) kinda pokes my side. I'm confident that both of these issues will resolve themselves as I lose weight. Oh, and I really prefer Comptac's clips, but it looks like Raven has switches clip styles since I got mine, so I can't comment on what you'd get if you ordered one now.
