Tragic situation, but excellent reminder that the only safe place for firearms around children that young is in a holster or in a safe.

I believe this is the second time in a ~week a child gained access to a firearm with devastating results.

I'd clarify to add, in a holster, on your belt.

It will be very different when I have kids one day (married, but the littlest one is a miniature dachshund ). I think that people tend to underestimate what even a two-year old can do. YES, they can climb that shelf and get up there where you don't think they can get to and YES, they can open that cabinet you don't think they can open. Something like this should NEVER happen. Very tragic.

Definitly tragic.... but he says it went off when trying to take it from the 2 yo... no telling which pair of hands hit the bang switch at that moment.
