Grills are not uncommon on police dogs. However, I am not familiar with titanium. Usually the teeth are capped with stainless steel.
Dogs can get pretty excited when digging into a suspect. It is fairly common for them to break a tooth off in a suspect. This is not a good thing for the dog. So many dental veterinarians cap the teeth a head of time this makes them much stronger and lessens the chance of breaking a tooth.
I can't even imagine what this looks like coming at you.
