My main question is do any of the local dealers have stripped lowers for around $100. I've seen a few carrying RRA for around $120 and I think that's a bit high. I know that no one will probably have an Aero for $60 but around $100 would be a good place to start.

It'll be a decent, low cost, hog / fun / truck gun.

You can get an LRB lower at Wideners for $70 http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item ... ir=700|863" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; plus - transfer at your local FFL (there are some on this Forum).

I guess that's another question: are all lowers made equal?

IMO most are, they seem to all be from the same mfr just a different name. There are high end milled lowers and such as well. After building dozens of lowers I have determined that unless you want resale value of a name or are truly going to need that rifle in battle then build from a decent cheap lower. I would put the big dollars into the upper and decent mags. For most home plinkers a $89 stripped lower with a good trigger will suffice.

Not yet, but I'll be ordering one in the future. Probably be a few months because I'm building an M4gery first on a DSA lower, then using the PC lower for either an AR or AR57 pistol build

I'll post up once I have it though. I've heard some bad things, but really no more than you hear about other guns... mostly user error. Looks like they're tough and reliable... long term reliability is yet to be seen, but for $130 you really can't go wrong. Heck, if all else fails make it a .22

Did PlumCrazy buy the Cav Arms product line? If so, who sells them in Texas? A buddy has a Cav Arms lower that he built into a nice gun.
