I am carrying a g27 in a mtac holster and while nobody seems to notice, I can always tell that I am carrying, there is definitely something under my shirt as far as I can tell.

Anybody have a general rule of how much printing is too much? Most people are oblivious, but I'm always concerned about an off duty leo or something noticing and going a bit crazy.

When I holster up, and look in the mirror, i can say " i see the butt of the gun" but really, does it look like it? No, not at all. If I didn't know it was a gun, I wouldn't guess it was one.
So to answer your original question

How much printing is ok?

Up to the point to you either feel uncomfortable with it, or until someone else sees it and makes a stink (at least thats how I look at it)

I have found that unless someone can read the word Glock through the material of your cover garment, then no one will pay attention. You have to remember that the statute says 'Discernible to the average person' as being able to recognize it is a gun. So, bumps, pooches, lumps and knots from under your shirt are no big deal.

Post a pic of yoursef while carrying and we will let you know.

Bottom line: concealed means concealed. But I know what you mean. I sometimes see a tiny little protrusion of the butt of my gun in a few of my 'tighter' shirts when I am sitting down. I have changed my dress as I now carry 24x7 - larger, not regularly patterned shirts. I would worry if I could see a print while standing or walking.

You feel self-conscious now, but that will go away. I remember, in the beginning, always thinking that EVERYONE knows I have a gun. Now, I hardly think about it. If you have a significant other, ask them if they can see it. If you don't, well, you will have to post a picture for our opinion.

The general rule is, if you can't tell it's a gun then it's okay.

I carry the same gun in the same holster and my wife knows I'm carrying and she can't even tell most of the time. It has become so common that even when my 9y daughter hugs me and puts her hand or arm right on the gun she doesn't even say anything or react any more. She knows it is our little secret. Sometimes my will ask me if I'm carrying, but for the most part she knows the answer. Other times she's just a little bit surprised when we are back home and I disarm and she exclaims that she didn't think I was carrying. I have to remind her that about the only time I'm not is going to and from work. Hopefully, that will change soon.

Any amount is ok. That's the message I keep getting from the people who say CHLers won't benefit from passing OC in Texas.

I guess I can wear whatever I want. No one will ever read the word Glock when I carry.

Like they're ones to talk--in my experience off-duty LEOs are some of the worst at effectively concealing their sidearms (and most of them are required by their departments to carry concealed off duty).

If you wear a lot of spandex garments, then you need to worry about printing. (disgusting mental image) Otherwise, relax. No one cares.

I've had a hard time finding a shirt big enough.
Then I started leaving the "Drum" at home. 4 - 30 round stick mags in my pockets and I'm on my way.

A police officer used to come into the store all the time, usually when he was off duty and out of uniform. He'd wear jeans and a tight, white, undershirt sort of T-shirt. You could just almost read Wilson on the grip of his 1911. I could actually see the little circle where I knew the Wilson logo was located and was always trying to determine whether I could actually make out the letters or if it was just my imagination. I'd give him a hard time about it, of course. "Scott, now, is that considered 'concealed carry' or 'open carry'?"
And he'd say it's concealed if you're not paying too much attention. And even he would go on about how he could walk around Wal-Mart like that and very rarely have anyone give it a second glance.

I was thinking the same thing. Somehow, I don't think "Kimber" has the same name recognition as "Glock".
