MARBLE FALLS — When the annual MayFest rolls into Johnson Park Thursday through Sunday, a touch of the Wild West will be added to the action-packed carnival rides and other events.

About 35-50 members of the Brazos Bottom Cowographers are riding into town with guns drawn and spurs on. The Cowographers are billed as the largest organization in the world performing Wild West shows.

As soon as my kids are old enough we will be attending this event. Sounds like a good family activity and not to mention Marble Falls is a nice place to visit. If only my company would open an office there!

Every weekend or so during "Tourist Season" they have the staged old west gunfights in Burnet, 13 miles north of Marble Falls too ... lots of people take the Steam train to it from Austin or Cedar Park I think.
