Need honest reasonable mechanic Pearland

I need a honest and reasonable mechanic ... My wife's Saab's cooling system has sprung a HUGE leak and I can't see where it is coming from but my best guess is the radiator. I called one guy (Ellis Automotive) who has raving reviews but he doesn't do Saab's. The radiator doesn't have a fill cap (ya fill it through the reservoir) and due to the configuration getting stop leak in it does not seem to be an option. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

On Space Center near Ellington Field there is Christian Bros. Auto. They have been good to deal with, don't know if they do SAAB and it's not in Pearland though.

Lately,
http://www.angieslist.comhas been advertising. Her website provides local
reviews on a wide variety of service providers.
If you log on there, chose "Auto Repair" or similar, then input your zip code in order
to find a mechanic in your area. I can't vouch for this website, but it sounds like the
information for which you are searching.

The above link is part of "Click and Clack - The Tappet Brothers" website.
You can search for a mechanic in your area. They have 16,000 mechanics around the US.
There's also a freeform dialog box where you can type in your question, and a mechanic
will answer it. I have no idea who the mechanics are that are staffing that part of the
website.
FYI: The Tappet Brothers own a fixit garage in Cambridge, Mass. and have a one hour long
show on NPR every weekend. They yuck it up and actually answer some car fixing questions
for the call-in guests.
Good luck with your problem.

The problem with reasonably honest mechanics is finding reasonably honest customers.

Are you saying, "...what goes around comes around...", or something like that?

Just remember, no matter who you find, this is the rule:

Come on really?!? I'm not saying ALL mechanics are shady but it is a hit and miss just like ANY service industry. And, it helps to know people who have had some good experiences because its a crap shoot.
And.... As a customer how are you going to be dishonest?? What am I gonna take it in and pay them to fix something that isn't the problem and walk away saying BOOOYAH!!! Ha ha I got over on THEM!!
Then I would have to go and have the real issue fixed???
Thanks for all the suggestions ... I wound up taking it to the dealer and although (for us) it's a TON of $$$ at least it will have original parts and a warrantee...
