Sorry to hear about your car, Andy.

We had some nasty stuff come by us just south of Denton, but I didn't see any sizable hail or significant damage.

That's a real shame Andy.

We got lucky tonight. Most of the rough stuff slipped under us here in Farmers Branch. We got a little pea size hail and a bunch of rain. My pool is overflowing.

News reports say some parts of FW got baseball size hail.

My husband is telling me that new storms are forming and a new wave is going to come through. Hope everyone is safe. Sorry about your car!

My son sent my wife a text message a little while ago. He said he walked outside and saw TWO tornadoes touch down. He lives and works in Bedford.

Was at the Ballpark they evaced everyone into the tunnels under the stadium. Said golfball to softball sized hail comming and possible tornado headed that way. Hope everyone on the board is ok and all the damage was restricted to minor property.

My roommate says the clouds looked scary in Plano, but it was mostly just a lot of light rain, coupled with, when the sirens went off for the second time, a five-minute downpour of extrabiblical proportions.

I, on the other hand, was shoved into the basement of the hotel where the seminar I was attending was being held. After about ten minutes of listening to wind, rain, hail, the occasional inexplicable roar of... something, and the hotel's extremely annoying alarm, an employee came over and said the tornado was past us, and there was another one coming in a few minutes, but we had enough time for some of us to get to their ballrooms where it wouldn't be so cramped. This seemed like a fantastic idea, since we'd just come from the ballrooms, where we'd been told it wasn't safe. :banghead:

When we got back to the shelter of the room we'd just been evacuated from, I couldn't help but notice that the event in the neighboring room was no longer there to guard their cheesecake...

Got hail in this part of town, too, Andy....good sized dings on old Caddy, will probably need new roof for house this time around. Saw many golf ball size and some quite a bit larger hail stones. Will get reputable roofer out for evaluation and see what happens.

You guys that got hammered with hail, don't get in too big a hurry to put a new roof on after you get it looked at. Two deductibles in the same season can REALLY hurt. If it's leaking not much you can do but have it fixed, but if you can wait til later in the summer or early fall I would.

And by all means make sure the roofer you choose has a much better than average reputation. The wife works for one of the larger contractors in the area and that is the biggest mistake they try to make sure people don't make even if they don't sign with them. Every guy with a pickup and a hammer is a roofer after a round like this. Check their references, BBB rating and Liability Insurance.

One of my clients is a good roofer, and his office is in Euless: http://www.superroofman.com.

He did my roof, and my home is one of the pictures in the slideshow on the home page. If you give him a call, tell him his website designer referred you.
