Background Check Waiting Time

Hey guys and gals,
I was curious if anyone knew the current wait times for the background check?

My status was on that for 9 days, not sure what is normal wait times.

I just called and they actually said the background check was done, they were just waiting for my photo to scan so they could move it along to manufacturing. It looks like my background check only took a week from when it updated on line to when I called and asked how it was going. So i looks like they are getting faster with their background checks.

not to pry, but if you don't mind - did you have any prior arrests that you had to disclose?... or was it a clean record?

After looking at timelines posted by the folks in the April applications thread, I assumed mine would take about 10-14 days, but it ended up being completed within 4. Someone else in the May applications thread also had a quick turn around.
There probably wasn't much to my background check though. No arrests, fines, or tickets. I've never even been pulled over.

Odd thing is. I have maintained a Top Secret and Secret Clearances for the last 20 years of my life. That means I have an FBI file. It takes longer since they have to look at that file than someone without clearances. Kinda screwie...lol

Probably they are having to get Top Secret clearance to check out your file!

You see, I don't understand why this part takes so long since the lady who did my fingerprints said it would be done in 5-7 days from that day. So in theory, according to her, my BGC should be done before or about the same time my paperwork gets to Austin???
