Just wanted to poke my head in here again and say howdy to everyone. I dropped off the face of the TexasCHL forum last year just as my wife and I were getting ready to buy a house. Well lo and behold, not only did we get a house, but she got pregnant too! Our daughter was born in January.

Needless to say, life has been insane for me lately. I still haven't gotten around to getting my CHL but it's still something I want to do sooner rather than later.

Congratulations on the addition to your family as well as the purchase of a home. My wife and I added twin girls to our family in March so I can relate to the insanity your life has been going through.

I've always viewd shooting as being cathartic. Good for the soul. Sometimes making something go "BANG" is a great release.

So when life gets up all uptight and the baby she's a screamin, pop in the earplugs and go blast away.

Thanks for the warm welcome back folks. I have managed to go shooting once since she was born. I went with my neighbor up to his dad's place in Huntsville where we rode 4 wheelers around his 90 acres and busted some clays. Felt good to get out there again.

Welcome back. Now that you have a precious little girl to protect, go ahead and get that CHL asap. I know that it seems like a financial burden with the house and the new baby, but after diapers comes clothes, school supplies, college fund.....you'll never be "ahead" financially until she's grown up, so you might as well invest in her protection now!
