The Beaumont/Port Arthur area is #1 - - - The official high temprature at Village Creek State Park was 105 - - - Laredo was a chilly 104 :evil2: . There was a 100 year old high temprature record broken today. The old record at the weather station was 99 in 1911 today it was 102. I hope this isn't an omen of things to come.

That's a dubious distinction. :evil2:

Isn't that kinda like winning who can hit the softest with someone who would love to pound on you?

My car and the "sign" I drive by both said 102 today - just YUK! I am afraid of July/August :mad5

I have learned to embrace the heat. :skep:

On a positive note...profuse sweating cleanses the pores. ;-)

Al Gore says all this firearm shooting going on in Texas is what makes it hot here. I say it's all his hot air.

WOW!

It got up to 44° here on Flathead Lake today. The weather folk says it'll quit rainin' and snowin' and reach the mid-70's this weekend. :evil2:

I wish I was back home in the Pineys...NOT!

When I was in Flagstaff a couple of days ago, the lows were in the low 30s, and the highs were in the low 70s. To add insult to injury, it was clear, sunny, and breezy. The topper was the smell of piney woods on the clean mountain air.

I had to leave.

I usually stick my nose in the tailpipe (while the engine is idling) and take a deep breath right before I leave the mountains so as to get used to the flatlander air that I have to return to.
