Kanada Gun Laws.....

Be glad you don't live in Kanada. I ran into a web site about home invasions in Kanada. I could copy & paste but it's easier to just go there and read for yourself.

http://homeinvasion.ca/

Go to "Obtain A Gun". The hoops they have to jump through are totally rediculous! Those people have forgotten what freedom is!

I beg to disagree. Some of them are like us, but for the most part they have given up.

They need a good revolution.

Wait. So do we.

Anygun.

"Defence in depth" indeed! This guy's plan sounds better than their erstwhile prime minister's and his taxpayer-funded security:

On the subject of Canada and freedom, Canada was incrementally loosed from the Crown, and never fought the Crown. In my view, they do not understand the concept of freedom as this nation does (or did). It simply does not exist as part of their national or individual psyche. It seems to me that Canadians view redundant firearms licensure as an expensive nuisance that must be tolerated, not as an infringement, or dangerous nanny-statist second-guessing, or a precursor to genocide.

Here's one area where I do give Canada proper respect: the "flyover country" isn't afraid to tell Ottawa to sod off.

Like the U.S., Canada consists of the populous East (Ontario and Quebec), and the populous West (BC). In between is a vast expanse of low population.

When Ottawa (dominated by Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver) implemented the national gun registration scheme, the Big Middle provinces responded with a big "Yeah, right, eh?" and went on with business as usual. When have we ever seen U.S. states reject federal mandates (and the carrot/stick money that is tied to them?)

I think Wyoming finally gave in on the speed limit issue, in order to keep federal highway money. New Hampshire still rejects millions of federal highway dollars, opting to "Live Free" and let adults choose whether or not to wear seatbelts (and has a higher seatbelt usage rate than most states with mandatory seatbelt laws). New Hampshire is also on the verge of rejecting federal mandates for "Real ID"; no telling what that will cost them, but they don't really care.

Those New England yankees in NH are serious about preserving individual liberty and state sovereignty. That's why I'm moving.

It doesn't look like the apple fell far from the tree...

The section on obtaining a firearm is just incredible in its stupidity:

"obtain permission from your spouse" - honey, can I pleeze have a gun?
"obtain a passport sized photo signed by someone who knows you" -???
"(using) a Jacketed hollow point....may leave a bad impression on a jury" - being dead WILL leave a bad impression on MY family.
"Prosecuteors will change you with a firearms offense, no matter what happens" - what about the bad guy?
"refrain from shooting anyone more than twice" - does that apply to the bad guy shooting at me?

God bless Texas!

Good point regarding NRA. My membership renewal is due in a few months. After reading this I think I will send in renewal a little early and include a donation.
The NRA & TSRA should use this to get additional donations.
Just think, that's just across our northern border where they have sold out to liberalism. I don't know how they put up with this kind of suppresion of freedom. When I was a kid I always thought of the Canadians as tough resiliant people and I'm sure some still are. I even wanted to grow up and be a mountie (remember Sgt Preston & his dog King?) Now male mounties are marrying each other! Has the meaning of mountie changed?
Euro weiners to the north of us and a third world country to the south. We need to spend some money on big fences!

And for those of us who are life members already, the NRA is running a membership special to sign up your family as life members for a much reduced cost. They are also upgrading life members to endowment members at a fraction of the usual amount. Its a perfect time to upgrade.

This, of course, comes after I already gave life memberships to my four sons at the regular price. That is the story of my life..........

Interesting read on the Canadian website. Was it taken from a Monty Python skit?
