Question about RENEWAL with a Juvenile Record

I have a question about renewing my TX CHL with regards to my juvenile record. Let me explain.
I did not have the good fortune to be born in Texas, and so, when I had a moment of stupidity many years ago it was far away in a state that I don't actually have reason to go to any more. Leaving the details aside, I was found delinquent of an act that would have been a felony if committed by an adult, given a good talking to, some counseling, and went on with my life.
Years and miles later, I applied for my CHL here in TX and had to list the above event on the application. They required documentation that the whole matter was settled in juvenile court. A call to the juvenile court back east yielded that to get a copy of such records you must appear IN PERSON. So, I grumbled a bit and decided to go visit home for Christmas. While I was in town for Christmas, I showed up in person, paid my $5 and got the certified copy for TX DPS. I mailed it in and a few weeks later I had my new shiny CHL in my hand.
Well, now I'm getting close to my renewal date and I'm wondering if things are easier on the renewal side. My mother has passed on, so there's no reason for me to go back east, unless I must again appear in person at the juvenile court records window. Will I need to re-submit a fresh copy of the same juvenile paperwork again, or will the system remember? In my mind, the checks for renewal should logically cover the period since the license was issued not go back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth again, but logic and government don't always go together. Anyone have experience or knowledge of this that they can supply?
