We just concluded our first Summer Camp for 2011. All the kids had a great time!
We have two camps remaining in July: 7/11 to 7/16 and 7/25 to 7/30. Pre-registration is required and class space is limited.
The focus of the camp is to introduce youth, 8 to 16, to the shooting experience. It’s a 6 day camp, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 10:30 with a Parent Demonstration on Saturday morning at 8:30. There will be rifle shooting every day with an emphasis on gun safety and marksmanship. We will be featuring new Savage Mark-II FVT Target Rifles and students will complete the National Rifle Association Basic Rifle course. The camp includes a T-Shirt, the use of a rifle, eye and ear protection, ammo and targets.
There awill be three primary topics discussed:
1. Gun Safety
2. Basic Firearms Knowledge
3. Basic Marksmanship
Our most important goal is for everyone to have a safe and positive shooting experience.
The camp begins at 8:30am each day at the Range. Each day there will be a lesson, hands-on firearms instruction and a shooting exercise. Camp ends each weekday at 10:30am.
The final day of the Camp is Saturday morning. Parents are invited to attend. We’ll have a shooting demonstration by the campers and we’ll have a final recognition of everyone’s accomplishments. The Camp will be concluded by 10:00am.
