Renewal lost bar code

I had a renewal student several weeks back, and she waited to send off her materials. We work in the same place, so she flagged me down in the hallway yesterday. It seems she has lost her paperwork. I had her log in to see if she could just reprint her bar code, but the page just says that they are waiting on her. I told her the first best step was going to be to call Austin. Other than that, and finding her paperwork, what are her options?

If she lost her stuff, do you think she would be able to keep track of her weapon if she is successful in getting a license?

She has to login. Go to show receipt then at the bottom click reprint checklist and it will reprint the bar code.

Edited to correct "show" receipt.

Interestingly, the Show Receipt option is there when I log in, but it isn't available to her.
I told her just to provide the necessary information, and send a written statement that her bar code had been lost. I hope it won't cause too much trouble for her.

There is no 'Show receipt' icon available to click on.

As far as the Packet from DPS is concerned, I am not the only person who tidys up the house. I do know for sure there is a Black Hole Gateway inside the Washer/Dryer and the garage.

Other than being scolded for past transgressions, any other suggestions?

My mistake, its not an icon it's just words. Looks like this

License Status: Application packet has been received from the applicant, the application is in progress. Show receipt

I did it to make sure it worked. If you dont see that, I dont see another way besides writing to them directly. Hope that helps you out tho.

I logged in.

The next frame mentioned that the CHL folks had sent the packet and that they (CHL/DPS) were waiting to hear from me before they could send an update on the progress of my application.

An update of sorts.

This is for a pre-paid internet Renewal, I don't know about an inital application.

'Phone calls to DPS folks said that, although the Bar Code within the 'Packet' would be helpful, it was not absolutely required.

In the absence of the 'Packet 'material with the Bar Code, a statement to the effect that the Bar Code was missing would be good. That'd let the person looking over your documents know that nothing was accidently omitted.

I provided that stmt, the CHL-100, as well as a photo with Name, Tx DL # and CHL # on the back. I also included a legible copy of my Tx DL and current CHL. That was done on 23 June and went Certified Mail with a Return Receipt Request.

We'll see. I'll post the consequencs and a time line.

CHL rec'd yesterday, 12 Aug.

It would have been rceived quicker had I FULLY filled in all of the blank lines. DPS sent it back with instructions for me to sign on the CORRECT line.
