New gun from Ruger!!!!!!

Post by MoJo »

Ruger is introducing a new and intimidating pistol in honor of Senators and Congressmen.

IT WILL BE HIGH DOLLAR AND LOW CALIBER...

It will be named the "Politician".

It doesn't work and you can't fire it!!!

Recently I know of 2 new Rugers introduced. A new "single 10", think single 6 with 10 rounds of capacity, and the 77/357. I find it amusing that people rag on Ruger for recalling voluntarily their guns, but if I'm not mistaken the other manufacturers refuse to recall anything unless forced to. Many manufacturers will simply modify the production line and wait for the older guns to fail before "correcting" issues at least Ruger owns up to their mistakes, recalls the product, and fixes every last one of them they can. What other manufacturer wants to pay shipping both ways, install a transfer bar safety system, and returns a handgun with the original parts at no cost when they didn't have to? I will gladly buy from a manufacturer that owns up to its mistakes and issues voluntary recalls when the industry standard for fixing design flaws is to covertly change the production line while they cover their ears and shout "Mary had a little lamb" at the top of their lungs. I will acknowledge that there are better products on the market than those made by Ruger, but at least they more than stand by their products.

This wasn't a condemnation of Ruger it was a condemnation of politicians. I could have substituded any brand. How about Kimber! Lighten up it's a joke!

And I would challenge any substitution as well. I don't see any point in attacking anyone on our side, even if it is in jest.

I am not offended, it just doesn't do any good for our side to attack our own even for humor. I will stand up for Taurus, Kimber, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Winchester, ect. I see our community attacking itself and it gets old. I see us calling each other Fuds, or Tacticool Tims, or we go off and attack our manufacturers for no reason. The point is that rather than expend energy and time on attacking ourselves, lets use that same energy and time to fight back against the gun grabbers.

I think that's a slam on politicians, not Ruger. Better modify the title to say Jennings but then saying "won't fire" is redundant.

I sort of understand GA's issue, but in this case I truly enjoy the humor at the expense of politicians. I have had, and still have, Ruger products, and think they are typically of fine quality given the price points they hit. Using a supposed gun (or firearms manufacturer) as a tool for the humor keeps it relevant on a firearms based forum.

Changing to an obsolete, low-quality manufacturer, it might read something like this:

RG is introducing a new and intimidating pistol in honor of our fine elected officials.

IT WILL BE HIGH DOLLAR AND LOW CALIBER...

It will be named the "Politician".

It doesn't work (often) and you can't often fire it.

If it does work, the results may (painfully) surprise you!!!
