A road rage incident in Texas City,,who knows what went on,,but according to the article in the Galveston paper,,they had gone there own ways,,but the the CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSE holder gave chase and pulled his gun on a guy,who ended up throwing a bowl of oatmeal on him to distract him,(Hey it is Galveston County, who could make this up ? ),Chl'er was arrested, but released, they will let the grand jury sort it out. If the oatmeal would have been loaded, very likely someone would be shot,,and no one knows what for..
Sad to see this representation of concealed carry in the paper for all to see.

Oatmeal is a dangerous weapon dont' cha know

We dont know if the chl holder had gluten allergies lol

road rage gets everyone to some degree or another - I would just hope as adults, and more specifically - CHL holders, we would have the ability to take a deep breath, calm down, and drive away.

Remember you represent all of us. When carrying Rage is not an acceptable response. It will do nothing but get you into trouble. There is no good outcome from a Rage story. Nothing is satisfied and you look silly.

Hey, HOT oatmeal can leave a nasty burn. Grits can be even worse. And God help you should someone heave a bowl of Malt-O-Meal at you. That's a justifiable shoot, right there!

:iagree:

OTOH, short of shooting the gruel hurler, one might consider just stompin' the livin' daylights out of the offending and otherwise ill-mannered person ?

Oatmeal is nasty stuff. I'm surprised more folks haven't choked on it's foul gooey texture and sticky tasteless yuk.

If I were king, the only way oatmeal would be allowed is if it were baked in cookies. Preferrably with pecan pieces, peanut butter M&Ms and an extra splash of vanilla in the mix.

I for one could consider an oatmeal attack grounds for a forced response. :evil2: :evil2: :evil2: :evil2:

Thankfully you didn't say raisins.... Raisins are ok by themselves, if you're in the mood. But putting raisins in a cookie, or bread, or cereal...?
That's just beggin for a whoopin. :mad5

I'm with you on the raisin bit. Having raisins in cookies is like mixing snap caps in with your hollow points. They're worthless and just get in the way.

Now, this is ENOUGH!! This thread is not going to turn into a list of cookie recipes!!!! :fire :fire :fire

I got to this story a few minutes earlier: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20497&start=60#p563756" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I agree that oatmeal is not suitable for human consumption. My horse used to slurp it up by the quart, though. I would make it for her in cold weather.

I agree. Unfortunately, my wife does not. She makes me a nice bowl of oatmeal every morning and has for years. Says it is good for me and will help control my cholesterol. I ask her why she does not eat it too, and she tells me her cholesterol is fine. :waiting:

It won't actually make you live longer -- It'll just seem like it.

Plain oatmeal or one of those flavored instant kinds?

A good reminder not to sweat the small stuff (no pun intended). After getting back from my second combat tour in Iraq, I swore that if I am not getting shot at or blown up, it isn't worth the energy...

Hopefully the guy who pulled a gun on Oatmeal Man will go to prison

and get served oatmeal for breakfast. :evil2:
