From the MET police website:
"
Uniformed officers from Fortune Green have been quick to respond, identifying vulnerable and insecure addresses and, where it appears there is nobody home, climbing inside and securing the address - prominently leaving a calling card to notify residents that they could have been burgled. On one occasion, a lone female was startled when a uniformed officer walked into her living room having climbed in through an open bedroom window. After the initial surprise, she was very grateful when officers gave her some crime prevention advice and some cheap tips on how to make her home safer. "
She was
grateful for the home invasion. Ah, the UK, a true liberal paradise.

I put the MET link first, because, well, the "Sun." The lefties over here must drool when they read about the UK and imagine the possibilities for America.

Also from the MET police website:
Due to the overwhelming success with the program designed to assist citizens in making their homes more secure, the MET has started a radical new program to show citizens how vulnerable to criminals they are while OUTSIDE their homes. Uniformed officers have initiated a new program by identifying vulnerable and unaware citizens on the street and, where it appears they are lacking situational awareness, promptly assault them and beat them into submission - prominently leaving a calling card to notify the citizen that they could have been assaulted by a real criminal. On one occasion, a lone female was assaulted by a uniformed officer while walking into her home. After the initial surprise, and subsequent beating, she was very grateful when officers gave her some crime prevention advice and some cheap tips on how to make her life safer.
Ah, the UK, a true liberal paradise.

Uh, wow this is not only unbelievable but well, kinda stupid as well. How long before a REAL burglar, rapist etc... dons a police uniform and because the (sheeple) are becoming acustom to this practice simply allow anyone who looks "official" into their homes without a word said and gets killed robbed raped etc... OR... Someone kills an officer as they climb thru a window ya know to just teach the home owner they're deemed unsafe. When did it become the nanny states responsibility to tell the "subjects" they can't have their windows or doors open?!?
Once the sheeple have grown accustom to this intrusion of personal property what's next?!? This is the real camels nose in the tent!

William Pitt, the first earl of chatham, said this:
The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail, its roof may shake ,the wind may blow through it ,the storm may enter ,the rain may enter, but the King of England cannot enter , all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement!
How far England has fallen.

See, that won't happen in the UK, because it's illegal to defend yourself in your own home.
If you shoot or attack a criminal breaking into your home, you're the one going to jail, not them.

Seriously!!!
Just one more reason we're still the greatest country in the world... But not if Obama and his cronies keep up their pace of systematically trying to ruin our monetary system.

Still seems clear as mud. They will still say "reasonable force" and send anyone to jail for using, what the government determines, is unreasonable or excessive force.

Yup. Defending my property and my family, there is no such thing as unreasonable force.

"The law is already clear - under the existing law people can rightly defend themselves and their property with reasonable force," said shadow justice secretary Sadiq Khan.
So in the future we'll hear: "95 year old Elizabeth Jones used unreasonable force when she took the life of the 19 year old attacker, with a poker, just as he was turning his life around through government provided trade school, housing, transportation, food, and medical care." " "If Mrs. Jones had simply held the attacker down until police arrived, using 'reasonable' force, while explaining to her attacker the error of his ways, and the fact this action might delay his benefits, then Mrs. Jones would not be serving out her remaining years in prison," said shadow justice secretary Sadiq Khan.
If my semi-annual trips to the UK (which ended a few years ago) taught me one thing, it was that the British have lost their collective minds. Not surprised that the same thing is coming here.

I would have to agree from experiences during my travel there.
There is no government intrusion they won't submit to and try to justify as well.
The government doesn't have to make up tortured reasons for abhorrent practices like they do here - the people come up with the reasons for them.

I wonder if the Texas police, after reading how much success they had in England with that program, will decide to implement that here in Texas. Do you think that would work just as well here as in England?

This is only going to end in disaster for both criminals and homeowners.
Many people who try to uses knives as defense end up getting stabbed themselves."
