Shiney new Penny!

I know this is obnoxious, MIddle Age Russ will roll his eyes at me, but I had to share! We have a very small "herd" of Dexter Cattle, in the past 2 years we have had 2 cows calve with sad results - the first a malpresentation and the calf perished, the second a mummified calf that had stopped development at about 5 months gestation.
But this morning I went out to feed and next to Maggie the cow was a tiny new Penny! My daughter that shows the cattle is a huge Big Bang Theory Fan. Thus the Bull she has is "Bazinga" and the steer, Sheldon, and now the new baby (we are 99% sure it is a heifer) is Penelope "Penny".
The calf was still pretty wet, and very tired, but we got to love all over her and the momma. Maggie got up and ate well - we are so excited and can't wait to see Penny up and active.
