Was shot numerous times this evening

Played 7 games of laser tag with the kids today at Main Event. Died many times. The last few games I started focusing more on what it would be like if this were a real gun fight. I hid behind a barrier and watched as the lasers started going off. I quickly decided that I would never want to be involved in a multi-shooter event.

Also made me want to start participating in some type of simulations that would more closely resemble the real events. Maybe close quarters paintball.

A friend that was with us told me about some people he know in commercial real-estate who were refurbishing a mall that had been shut down. Before they started the refurb they held a 50 on 50 paintball match. The whole mall was in bounds. Would have loved to experience that.

Hope everyone has a safe and great 4th.

Sounds like fun.

If you want realistic simulation I'd suggest some force-on-force training at KR Training. It's a bit of a haul from where you are, but the price is right, and the training is great. They usually do FOF during the colder months, so keep an eye on the website. It also doesn't hurt to email Karl and let him know that you're interested in FOF.

Sounds like just what I'm looking for - thanks.

Lasertag is fun... I used to play a lot at Main Event in Grapevine. Lasertag, paintball, and especially Airsoft really help with situational awareness, functioning under stress, moving between cover and the like.
