They dont say anything about owing back taxes, no mention of being behind on the mortgage... They were deemed a public nuisance and because of THIS the county takes their property?!? Is it nice to have a junk yard in your neighborhood absolutely NOT but ... It is their private property!! Fine them (if legal) but there has been a rash of imminent domain land snatches in that area in the last few years. They see a lucrative piece of land and use this as a means to take it... They also have a law that allows the county to take your land if there are too many calls to 911 or county complaints about you under the same heading of being a public nuisance... How'd ya like to see that in rural areas where a land developer see the potential and goes after the homeowner in this way other than paying FMV they can get it from the county at a fraction... Gotta love the Lib Left Coast :banghead:

In Connecticut they steal family homes in good condition and give them to commercial developers. And evil people in black robes said that's OK.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people, has perished from the earth.

Texas has the eminent domain law just passed will prevent this. Senate bill 18, signed by Perry, as an emergency item. More work needed, but it fixes a lot of things.

Lincoln may have saved the Union but he killed the Republic. Government of the People, by the People, and for the People perished from the Earth in 1865 when the Federal government established supremacy over the several States.

Prior to the Civil War, speeches by presidents and presidential candidates referred to "these United States", implying a group of sovereign States that have united for a common purpose. After the Civil War, that phrase was replaced by "the United States", implying the States are no longer sovereign but have become parts of a single, large State.
