Surely I am not the only political junkie having withdrawal

It happens after every legislative session. After a few months of checking every day for gun related updates and arcane details of the legislative process, when the legislature finally pronounces "sine die", I seem to go into a state of withdrawal. I cannot help but go to the 20__ Texas Legislative Session topic area to see if something new has happened, even when I know that nothing could have happened, because everyone has gone home and moved on with their lives-----except me, apparently.

Ah, well. Back to life.

I mentioned this to Dr. Greg Hupp when I took my sister-in-law to his office just last week (Former State Representative/Luby's survivor-Dr. Suzanna Gratia Hupp's husband)

It seems both she and I had both been calling Jimmy Don Aycock asking where he left his brain, and if he intentionally changed parties, or was just tired of getting elected. (RE:Campus Carry)

Could you ask Greg to ask Suzanna if she'd be willing to run again? God, we need more people like her in the legislature...

Of course, I say that not knowing if the current Rep & Senator in her district are pro or anti...

No idea... but I like the way she represented on the 2A front!

I actually did mention to Greg that I wished his wife was in office last session ,,, he responded that he was glad she wasn't ... but that she had called Aycock several times .... like I had. It is a very tough job for less money than can be made elsewhere ... and very very tough on families ... but I'm praying she (and he) give in ...

When she retired, Jimmy Don Aycock took her place, he's NRA rated well, and "claims" pro 2A ... but he voted AGAINST Campus Carry

I just got a mass E-mail that you voted with Diane Patrick to remove the campus carry portion of a bill this morning?

Are you really listening to the 200 Democrats who called you instead of the people who elected you?

I hope you aren't changing parties, but please support campus carry.

I drive down the same roads you do and I have not forgotten Luby's .. I'm surprised you have.
Dear xxxxxxxxxxx ,

Thank you for emailing our office and expressing your concern. Let us reiterate that this was an extremely hard vote for the Representative. Most of the constituents we heard from were against the amendment. We appreciate you letting us know how you feel and understand where you are coming from. This amendment pertained to college campuses and that is where the Representatives concerns lie. He is a huge supporter of 2nd amendment rights. Thank you!

LET'S GO MAVS!!!

At least when I CALLED ... the response was "With REDISTRICTING, He won't represent YOU any more ....

I responded with :

I have hundreds of church members and family who will still be in his new district ... and they have Friends, and their friends have friends ... I'll let them all know your response .... thanks.

His NRA rating needs to be revisited ... He listened to the 100s of John Wood/Colin Goddard/Andy Pelosi followers who had thousands of phone calls from people in OTHER STATES calling saying they were from TEXAS or that they would not send their kids to TEXAS schools from out of State. Many Politicians considered those out of State Washington/New York callers, their "constituents" and ignore people who live here.

I'd be real surprised if Hupp returned yet, the biggest reason she gave for leaving was her kids, I'm remembering them as being close to my son's age and younger soooo, young teens? I'd love for her to run, but I'd bet she's got a few years before she returns. I met her once, she spoke at a homeschool leadership dinner we had, she's a wonderful lady.
