Yep, read that this morning. It will never happen but it did make me smile a little.

While I believe those responsible for the Gunrunner/Fast and Furious should be prosecuted, it should happen in the U.S. If Mexico cannot secure their borders that is a problem they must address.

Are you suggesting that this is a matter of "National Security" (Mexico's) that they should address? The US has used that same justification for a number of engagements on other's soil. Things could become very interesting to our south if Mexico decided to employ the same tactics.

It will never happen because neither the Mexican government nor the Obama government are really concerned about guns flowing into Mexico. All the news hype about the guns traced to US sources was orchestrated as an excuse to violate the US Constitution.

Yes, Mexico needs to take responsibility for what enters their country. I have never been through Mexican Customs or Immigration when crossing into their country. I have driven to Mexico City and Cuernavaca and was never stopped. I did get stopped on the way to Monterrey once but it was a shakedown for speeding. (I told the cop that I would give him half of what he was asking or he could get his supervisor and I would give that person the full amount. He took what I offered.) During this stop they did ask, if I had guns. I responded with a quick no and that was the end of that.

BTW ask anyone from Central America what happens to illegal aliens that enter through Mexico's southern border.

I have driven into Mexico exactly once. Got directed into a covered area where somebody asked me to open my trunk (in sign language). They glanced into my trunk, then just wandered off. wasn't sure if I could go or not, and they seemed to forget their sign language in the interim.

I've no real desire to go back, especially the way things are today.
