I like the Gen 2. What I ended up doing was getting a G 3 and sending it to Lane Owens at Cold Bore Customes and having a grip reduction done. Great service and only about a week turn around time.

Just a note, since the OP is in Houston, that Dale Hunnicutt on the northwest side of town does excellent grip reduction work:
http://www.gripreductions.com/. Dale's a long-time instructor and IDPA shooter, and well-known to a number of Forum members.

And has done work for me. But I'm looking for a couple inexpensive guns. And do not want to add to the cost.
