FYI folks. Some other forums argue that Reliant has to post 30.06s for this to hold. However, if you personally ask - and are told no guns - then you are informed and that counts.
Thoughts?

My thoughts:
It is an exception to the application of this section that the property on which the license holder carries a handgun is owned or leased by a governmental entity and is not a premises or other place on which the license holder is prohibited from carrying the handgun under Section 46.03 or 46.035.
More that that, I will not say.

Interesting question. How does one "legally enforce a 30.06?"
Can an LEO "enforce it?" Can the owner of a premises or his agent "enforce it?" If one fails to observe the mandate of a correctly worded, and correctly posted, 30.06 sign, can even a judge "enforce it?"
What, on the other hand, might a judge "enforce."
Is it possible that some of us confuse being legally banned from entrance into a premises with being successfully prosecuted for criminal trespass?
Just askin'. I'm intrigued by the question.

First is there a 30.06 sign posted, or other written notice (like on the ticket)?
Secondly, Is there Wanding, pat downs, or metal detectors in use screening entrants?
Thirdly, is Governor Perry aware of the prohibition prior to, or during, the event?
Fourthly, Has he taken action against the violations (IE renouncing the posting or refusing to attend)?

Seeker,
Anything is possible, as perhaps you may have seen on another current thread where TAM suggests that he and I may share a beer.

Reliant is govt property so legally a 30.06 has no weight. You might still take a ride though.

Maybe they're agitating against Perry because he has a chance to reverse the hopeless change.

rm2792,
I see you replied to my questions about "enforcing a 30.06:"
"Reliant is govt property so legally a 30.06 has no weight. You might still take a ride though."
You snuck your sentence inside my quoted question, not quite the typical approach, which is to put the answer below the quote, and separated from it, and it destroyed the context of my question. Nor was it an answer to my question, which I must grant is somewhat subtle, which I would think I would know better than to do here.
I point this out not to be a personal pain, but so that subsequent readers may hopefully not be confused as to what my question was, which, in short, was can anyone "enforce a 30.06?"
