Marlin Model 1895GS - Ammo Question

Stainless, 6 groove Ballard rifling, 18.5" barrel in .45-70 Cal.
This is my first big bore lever gun.
Decided to order some of this to try out:

Anyone have experience with this ammo and can offer any suggestions for sighting in?

I've used the leverevolution in my 30-30 and 35 rem marlins. Very flat and ran fine. Never had any experience with 45-70 but I understand from the marlin owners forum that some of the older marlin 45-70s had problems feeding from the magazine. Marlin apparently changed the follower on the guns after the leverevolution stuff came out and it has fixed the issue.

It looks beautiful...I lust after one in .357mag with stainless but they are expensive in my eyes.

I sold my 1894CSS (stainless .357 mag) and bought this one!
The .357 one was to hard to load (difficult to get cartridges into the gate). So, I moved up to this 45-70 which is a round I can really get my fingers on!

Yep I have read the info on that subject since your post - Thanks! The stock follower in all Marlins is plastic (even the new ones) and with any change they may have made, the pointy tip of this ammo can cause the follower to crack after many, many rounds.
I doubt I will shoot that many rounds, but just to be safe I have ordered this aluminum follower that is slightly concave in the center and will handle the pointy as well as flat bullets for a long, long time.
