I have evolved from lower to higher priced about every pocket gun out there.... P3AT, LCP, TCP, Bodyguard and Sig 238... They will all go bang if that's all you need.... but the last 2 are really different from the prior 3. The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380 has a similar style, but shoots and handles more smoothly. The Sig 238 is a different animal. Controls are different, weight is different. Were it not for my wife liking the sig, I would still be carrying the Bodyguard .380, but I believe spouses should carry same guns (tactically...swap guns and mags during a firefight). Sig is great, just half again the weight.. which also means lower recoil, and overall a different animal.
