We made the papers!! They misquoted one point, I am not a CHL instructor yet, but I plan to be and Julianna is and will be teaching ladies only CHL classes at the Amarillo chapter.

Tweeted it to my 488 followers (putting the hashtag
#guns in it gets it RE-tweeted to hundreds more by an auto-re-tweeter, originally started as an anti-gun tweet tool)

Thanks guys. Someone read the comments on the article and my response to TexasRed03 and make sure it sounds the way I meant it...kind but informative.

Very well done.

I'm sure he was hoping for a different reply.

Well, the NRA heard about our little Amarillo news story and Cam Edwards interviewed Julianna Crowder, founder of A Girl and A Gun Club, on his show last night on Sirius XM and NRA News. If you missed it, you can still hear it. Go to NRAnews.com and click on "Show Archive" in the menu on the left. Then click on the banner in the box that says "Show Archive, last five days of live shows". Then scroll down to Cam & Company 8/9/11 and you'll see her name in the list. Once the video starts, you can slide the slider to 02:45:00 and you'll get to hear Julianna's interview with Cam.

The response was perfect, but if you've clicked on their handle and read some of their previous posts, it won't change their mind, but it will for others. Also great to see the invite to them, which shows our open-ness towards closed minded liberals. It's the people like the guy suggesting everyone have a gun that makes it harder to get the proper point across. Good intentions i'm sure, but people like him and I shouldn't write stuff like that because we don't have that character trait that makes things come out right. You obviously have it though, so good job.
Overall that's a really cool deal and congrats on setting things up and getting the attention that you have.

I loved the responses! More "for" than "against", and as per the norm, the "against" was obviously uneducated - thus intimidated - by/about guns.

Wow. I have to have respect for someone who is talking the talk and walking the walk.
Bravo to you!
