Good DPS Stop

I was on my way home from dinner, FM 146 , and got pulled over by a DPS Trooper. He pulled me over for "excessive speed" and no front license plate. I showed him my insurance, DL and CHL. He asked if I had a gun, and I told him, "Yes sir, between the seat". "Under the towel?" Yes sir. I got a warning for speed and no front plate. I gotta get that fixed.

No one
really owns a Colt.
They are merely the custodian of it for the next recipient .....much like a fine watch.
...oh, and to stay on topic...Slow down Bill.

Nice stop. Things could have been much worse. I don't have anything to back it up, but it seems our troopers are the most accepting of our carry status. As stated in another thread, no cop really feels safe until they get back into their car...but that is a whole other topic.

I am amazed and delighted when LEOs accept and support the right of citizens to be armed.

Good to hear - it always surprises me when others have such a terrible experiences. Esp here in Texas when the process is so much more, well lets just stick with more, than other states - Fingerprint, background check, 10hour educational requirement etc.
Be safe,
Doc
